Work Experience for Local Students.
Horkan’s Lifestyle and Garden Centre is a large modern store occupying a ten acre site near the National Museum of Country Life at Turlough, Castlebar.
The store has many interesting and varied departments.
A Horticulture Plant Centre - Our plant centre includes ornamental plants, broad leave trees, Nusery stock, Veg and Herbs and a vast range of flowering plants.
A Gardening Training Centre - Gardening classes are run throught out the year with weekly gardening Lectures From March to September.
A Gift Shop - selling quality gift items and children’s toys.
Petworld – Exotic birds and reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, tropical fish etc.
House Plants – Plant Care – Tool Shop – Patio Furniture – Barbecues – Pond Products are just a few of the busy sections.
The Plant Centre features many trees, shrubs and bedding plants.
