Horkans Lifestyle Centre in Castlebar is located on the N5 – National primary route from Dublin to Castlebar. It is located beside the National Museum of country life which attracts large numbers of visitors each year.

The centre comprises of a modern build with extensive covered retail shopping of 50,000sq ft.

Horkans Lifestyle & garden centre were awarded a five star accreditation from An Bord Bia for quality of product and customer service. They have also been awarded the FBD top fifty retailers award from Retail excellence for once again excellence in customer service and retail offering.

This is the first purposely-built garden and lifestyle centre of its kind in Ireland catering for up to 300,000 visitors per year.
The current centre offers 200 car and bus parking, an 80 seated quality carvery restaurant, Pet and aquatics centre, Edinburgh woollen mills and a wide selection of gift, homeware, plants, garden furniture and garden accessories. Horkans is the ideal family day out and is a real destination experience.

Horkans Lifestyle & Garden Centre’s have two additional Garden centres located in Sligo and Galway.

Horkans Lifestyle & Garden Centre Turlough is built on a 10-acre site located fronting the National Primary Route from Dublin to Castlebar and is adjacent to the first National Museum out side of Dublin.
Turlough National Museum attracts both national and international visitors and is a favorite venue for bus tours visiting the west of Ireland. The museum is free to visitors and opens all year round.

The museum attracts family units to its 25-acre development as all the artifacts and displays depict Irish rural life over the past century.
This museum is run by the National museum of Ireland and is marketed heavily through National & regional Press, radio, direct mailing and television.

Location.
The new development is located four miles for Castlebar town on the N5 Dublin to Westport national primary route with excellent visibility from both the N5 and the old Turlough road.

Adjacent to the National heritage folk museum, which will attract up to 200,000 visitors this season. The National Museum will offer Horkans an additional all year round customer base and the ideal complementary centre where customers can spend a day out in Turlough visiting both attractions.
