Cordon (Indeterminate). Vigorous plants producing long trusses of red, currant-sized fruits each about 10g (1/3oz). Tomato Ruby will produce over 30 fruits per truss and a huge crop of these succulent, sweet flavoured fruits over the season. Best grown under glass, but also suitable for a sunny position outdoors. Suitable for indoor growing, or outdoors in warm regions. Seeds are in the RHS Vegetable Collection.

Sow seeds February to mid April. Sow 1cm (½in) deep in pots or trays of good seed compost, at about 20C (68F) under glass or in a propagator. When seedlings gain 2 true leaves, transplant into individual 7.5cm (3in) pots of compost and maintain a minimum temperature of 15C (59F).

Pot on later into 1cm (4in) pots to achieve stronger plants for planting out. Plant out from end of May, or earlier if in a heated glasshouse, or when first flowers are showing. Allow 3 plants per growbag, 25cm (1in) pots or plant into the greenhouse soil, or from early June outdoors after hardening off and once frost risk has passed. Plants will require support. Feed with tomato fertiliser as first fruits begin to form.

Prefers a good quality compost and warm conditions.

Deliveries are dispatched on the next working day after the order has been placed, and you should receive your order within 2 - 5 working days. In the unlikely event that an item you have ordered is out of stock, we will notify you immediately to inform you of any possible delays.

Please check the contents of your package on arrival. Should any items be damaged during shipment, it is important that you notify upon opening the package. Also, please keep all packaging materials from the shipment.

Returns

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, simply return it within 7 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund the cost of the item (excluding shipping). The items to be returned or exchanged have to be unused, in their original condition, in their original box and properly labeled.
